Bob Rosinsky, president and CEO of Goodwill Manasota, received the Thomas Paine Award from the Florida Veterans for Common Sense. The annual award is presented to a person who has made an outstanding effort to assist veterans. Rosinsky instituted The American Veterans and their Families Initiative in 2013. This program, at no cost to veterans, has helped hundreds of veterans with their reintegration into the civilian work force. The initiative has helped veterans with employment services, financial assistance, health benefits, housing assistance and more.

Goodwill also produced a Veterans Resource Guide to assist veterans in their transition. This extensive reference lists resources available to veterans from the Federal government, state, and local communities.
