Eugene, OR (SportsNetwork.com) - Joseph Young scored a game-high 25 points, leading five players in double figures, as the Oregon Ducks captured a 93-83 win over the Oregon State Beavers in a Pac-12 Conference battle at Matthew Knight Arena.
Mike Moser and Damyean Dotson both tallied 15 points for the Ducks (16-8, 4-8 Pac-12), followed by Jason Calliste and Johnathan Loyd with 14 and 11 points, respectively, as they snapped a two-game slide.
Eric Moreland registered a double-double with 17 points and a game-high 10 rebounds for the Beavers (13-11, 5-7) as they lost for the third time in as many games. Roberto Nelson accounted for a team-best 18 points, Hallice Cooke 16 and Angus Brandt 11 points in the losing cause.
Both teams shot better than 53 percent from the floor in the first half, but it was a 9-of-14 effort behind the 3-point line for the Ducks that pushed them to a 45-35 advantage at the break.
In the second half OSU knocked down 50 percent from the floor, but the hosts connected on a solid 48.3 percent and also converted 18-of-21 at the free- throw line in order to secure the double-digit win.
Oregon finished the day with 53.4 percent accuracy from the field, 11-of-21 beyond the arc, and turned the ball over just six times.
