Santa Clara, CA (SportsNetwork.com) - Kruize Pinkins scored 26 points and Cole Dickerson posted a double-double to lead the San Francisco Dons to a 69-63 victory over the Santa Clara Broncos in a West Coast Conference conflict at the Leavey Center.
Dickerson finished with 13 points and 14 rebounds for San Francisco (16-10, 9-5 WCC). Mark Tollefsen added 13 points of his own.
Brandon Clark tallied 15 points, Jared Brownridge chipped in 14 and Evan Roquemore had 13 for Santa Clara (11-16, 4-10). Jalen Richard chimed in with 11 points.
San Francisco led, 35-33, at halftime. The Dons shot at 41.4 percent from the floor in the period, which was slightly better than Santa Clara's 40 percent.
In the second half the Dons only recorded nine field goals, but they outscored the Broncos, 14-4, from the free-throw line to hold on for the win.
San Francisco had scoring advantages in the paint (30-20) and in second chance points (18-12).
