A satire on marijuana worthy of Jonathan Swift

February 16, 2014

Morgan Stinemetz's letter in the Feb. 8 Herald decrying the evils of legalized pot in Colorado and Washington state was a masterpiece. He absolutely had me going until his priceless last paragraph:

"Something as anarchic as legalized marijuana would never get past the alert citizens of Florida. This state is a bastion of good government, and we elect responsible people to Congress."

Truly a perfect satire of so many of the over-the-top letters to the editor that frequently grace the pages of the Herald.

Great job, Morgan! Where have you been all this time? Can't wait to hear more from you.
