Rep. Vern Buchanan's voting record now less conservative

February 13, 2014

During this election year, it is increasingly necessary for the voters to know how their elected representatives vote. The Heritage Foundation reports that Republican Vern Buchanan is now voting 50 percent conservative in the U.S. House of Representatives (reference www.heritageactionscorecard.com), significantly further to the left than his previous score of 58 percent, and definitely insufficiently conservative for a Republican congressman.

It is interesting to note that the Republican Party of the state of Arizona recently censured Sen. John McCain for voting insufficiently conservative.
