Company: Island Real Estate

What was the best business advice you ever received?

I wanted to be a writer and I got the best advice from a columnist at the Houston Post, Leon Hale, he told me writing was 90 percent work and 10 percent inspiration. Consequently, for 25 years I used my writing skills in marketing, advertising and public relations.

If you could choose another profession, what would it be?

Although I am doing what I always wanted to do as I meet interesting people every day and help people buying and selling real estate, but I'd like to be a travel writer.

What's the biggest risk you have taken in your career?

Making the change from a marketing career of 25 years to be a Realtor.

If you could travel anywhere in the world, where would you start?

I do need to go anywhere but this summer I am going to Prague, Venice, Florence and Lake Como.
