Newark, NJ (SportsNetwork.com) - Jamil Wilson finished with 25 points and 10 rebounds as the Marquette Golden Eagles collected a 77-66 road win over the Seton Hall Pirates in Big East play at the Prudential Center.
Reserves Davante Gardner (16 points) and Todd Mayo (11) also scored in double figures for Marquette (14-10, 6-5 Big East), which has won three of its last four.
Brian Oliver netted 15 points on 5-of-7 from 3-point range to pace Seton Hall (13-11, 4-7), which has lost three of its last four. Sterling Gibbs and Brandon Mobley each tallied 12 points and Patrik Auda chipped in 10.
Seton Hall shot 60 percent from the floor and scored 15 points off of turnovers in the first half. However, Marquette, which shot at a 47.8 percent clip, had a 6-0 edge in second chance points to claim a 34-33 lead at the break.
The Golden Eagles were only able to make 38.5 percent of their second half field goal tries, but they drained 22-of-26 at the charity stripe and earned a 20-9 advantage on the glass to pull away for the win.
Marquette outscored Seton Hall, 14-2, in second chance points and 30-8 at the free-throw line.
