Recap: Idaho State vs. North Dakota

Pocatello, ID (SportsNetwork.com) - Troy Huff netted 22 points and grabbed six rebounds as the University of North Dakota men's basketball team edged out the Idaho State Bengals, 80-75, in a Big Sky Conference showdown at Holt Arena.

Both Cole Stefan and Alonzo Traylor scored 11 points, with Stefan added four assists for North Dakota (10-12, 7-5 Big Sky). Aaron Anderson chipped in 10 points in the win. UND ended a two-game losing streak with the victory.

Jeffrey Solarin led all scorers in the game with 23 points, adding 20 rebounds for the double-double for Idaho State (8-13, 5-7). Solarin's 20 boards is the most by a Bengal since 1975. Tomas Sanchez scored 17 points and added six assists, while Chris Hansen contributed 13 points. The Bengals have lost three of their last four contests.

North Dakota connected on 59.3 percent of its field goal attempts in the first half, including 8-of-16 from 3-point distance, and took a 46-37 lead into the break. Idaho State hit 44.8 percent of its shot attempts in the frame.

UND actually improved its shooting in the second period, knocking down 61.1 percent of its tries from the floor. The Bengals shot 52 percent in the frame, but couldn't catch up to North Dakota.

UND had the edge in bench points, 39-10. The Bengals won the battle in rebounding, 47-19, and in second chance points, 27-3.
