MANATEE -- A couple who left home for about two hours Saturday returned to find their house burglarized, according to the Manatee County Sheriff's Office.

The couple, who reside in the 7400 block of Sea Island Lane, Sarasota, left home around 10:15 a.m., according to a sheriff's report. When they got back around 12:15 p.m., they found an undetermined amount of personal property had been stolen, the sheriff's office said.

No suspects were found, but a neighbor reported seeing a suspicious car described as a white, four-door full-size vehicle with a round body and possibly an out-of-state tag, the report said.

It is unknown if the vehicle's occupants, described as three adult men and a child around 9 years old, were involved in the burglary, authorities said.
