Davidson, NC (SportsNetwork.com) - Tyler Kalinoski notched 14 points for the Davidson Wildcats, who topped the Furman Paladins 65-50 in Southern Conference action at Belk Arena.
Brian Sullivan tallied 13 points for the Wildcats (14-11, 10-1 SoCon), who claimed their seventh straight victory. Tom Droney and Chris Czerapowicz added 11 and 10 points, respectively.
Stephen Croone recorded 17 points for the Paladins (7-16, 1-9), who dropped their fourth straight. Adonis Rwabigwi contributed 10 points in the defeat.
In the first half the Paladins shot 42.9 percent from the field, but the Wildcats' 35.5 percent included 6-of-18 from 3-point range, as Davidson went up 32-23 at halftime.
The Paladins improved to 44.4 percent from the floor in the second half. The Wildcats also improved, to 58.8 percent, again relying on the perimeter game as they knocked down 5-of-11 from beyond the arc to put the game away. They led by as many as 18 points inside the final two minutes.
Davidson outscored the visitors 18-15 in points off turnovers and outrebounded Furman, 32-22.
