Recap: Ole Miss vs. Missouri

Oxford, MS (SportsNetwork.com) - Marshall Henderson scored 29 points on 8- of-15 from 3-point range, as the Ole Miss Rebels held off a late comeback attempt by the Missouri Tigers to take down a 91-88 SEC victory at Tad Smith Coliseum.

LaDarius White contributed 16 points and six assists off the bench for Ole Miss (17-6, 7-3 SEC), which has won two of three. Jarvis Summers also scored 16, Anthony Perez netted 11 and Aaron Jones (11 rebounds) and Sebastian Saiz (10 rebounds) both finished with double-digit boards.

For Missouri (15-8, 4-6), losers of three straight, Earnest Ross poured in 24 points, while Jordan Clarkson and Jabari Brown were hot on his heels with 23 and 20, respectively. Ryan Rosburg chipped in 11 points for the visitors.

Ole Miss took control of the contest early, shooting 53.1 percent from the field in the first half on its way to a 50-35 lead at intermission. Missouri lagged behind by shooting just 40 percent from the floor in the opening 20 minutes.

The Tigers chipped away at their double-digit deficit in the second half, getting within one possession of the lead on several occasions, but they could never overtake the lead. Missouri got within one, 79-78, with 3:28 to play, but the Rebels answered with six straight points to pull away and would hold on for a three-point win.

Missouri was an impressive 11-of-28 from 3-point range, but it could not keep pace with the red-hot Rebels, who shot 14-of-29 from beyond the arc.
