It is hard to believe the first month of the new year is already behind us!
James reminds us of how quickly life goes by; "Whereas you do not know what will happen tomorrow. For what is your life? It is even a vapor that appears for a little time and then vanishes away." - James 4:14 (NKJV)
This passage has been a recurring favorite of mine that acts as a reminder of how valuable our lives are in the eyes of God and how we should do our best to make each moment count.
I shared some statistics in a recent message: In an average life span a person lives 2,366,769,450 seconds, breathes about 700 million breaths, and has their heart beat more than 2.5 billion times.
It is a wonderful thought to know God is aware and excited about each and every one of those in your lifetime!
Beloved ones, it is my hope and prayer as you read this Epistle of love and encouragement that you will be reminded and assured of how much The Creator of the Universe loves, cherishes and values you.
As 2014 is the year of growth for us here at Kingdom Life Christian Church, it is the desire of the Holy Spirit for you to grow in this reality: His unconditional love, never ending mercy, enduring grace, every spiritual blessing in heavenly places and the unquenchable desire of The Heavenly Father to spend time with you in prayer.
Remember, having the mind of Christ is knowing you are always on His mind, and His thoughts for you are always wonderful!
"For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, says the Lord, thoughts of peace and not of evil, to give you a future and a hope." Jeremiah 29:11 (NKJV)
In the Old Testament the presence of The Lord resided in a temple built under the leadership of King Solomon. After conducting some research I learned the cost to build that temple today would be in the multiple billions of U.S. currency.
The New Testament declares you and I are now the Temple of the Holy Spirit if we have asked Jesus Christ into our lives. In other words, the temple in the Old Testament was not good enough for God so He chose a temple much more valuable to Him YOU! And the price that was paid for Him to live there was the life of Jesus Christ.
Loved ones, you are extremely valuable to God. Your every breath, every heartbeat and every step is watched over and cared for by God; you are the apple of His eye.
Beyond anything else we could ever share with you, we offer you Jesus. Regardless of who you are, or what you've done, God really does love you. He sent His Son who paid the ultimate price for you. He died for your sins, but death could not hold Him. Through the resurrection of Jesus Christ you, too, can have a new and eternal life. Ask Him into your heart. Ask Him to heal you, to teach you His ways and to use you to help others.
Welcome to the Kingdom!
