Sarasota Orchestra coming to Anna Maria Island

ANNA MARIA -- The Roser Community Church 2014 concert series continues at 4 p.m. Feb. 16, with an appearance of a quintet of the Sarasota Orchestra. Highlights include a quintet of songs by a Russian composer and three spirituals -- "The Battle of Jericho," "Nobody Knows" and "Swing Low, Sweet Chariot."

The musicians are:

• Michael Dobrinski, principal trumpet, has degrees from New England Conservatory, Boston University and Manhattan School of Music. He began playing the trumpet when he was 10 and enjoys making fancy coffee and espresso drinks.

• Greg Knudsen, trumpet, has degrees from University of Arkansas and the Cincinnati Conservatory of Music. He began playing when he was 12 years old and enjoys golf, traveling and eating.

• Laurence Solowey, horn, has a master's degree from Manhattan School of Music. He likes to play golf and tennis and practices yoga. He has never had a cup of coffee.

• Brad Williams, trombone, has a bachelor's degree in music from Juilliard. He enjoys playing basketball and tennis, beating his wife at foosball and going to happy hours.

• Jay Hunsberger, tuba, received a bachelor's and master's degree in music from Indiana University. He began playing at the age of 9. His hobbies are food, wine, gardening and fitness.

Roser Church is near the Anna Maria City Pier at 512 Pine Ave.
