Tempe, AZ (SportsNetwork.com) - Jermaine Marshall scored 25 points and Jahii Carson tacked on 23 as the Arizona State Sun Devils outlasted the Oregon State Beavers 86-82 in overtime during a Pac-12 conflict at Wells Fargo Arena.
Jordan Bachynski nearly recorded a triple-double for Arizona State (17-6, 6-4 Pac-12), with 17 points, 15 rebounds and seven blocks. The Sun Devils have won four of their last five.
Roberto Nelson tallied a game-high 26 points for Oregon State (13-9, 5-5). Angus Brandt and Devon Collier each added 13 points, Hallice Cooke chipped in 11 and Eric Moreland cleared 17 boards.
At halftime Oregon State led 29-26. The Beavers shot at just a 40 percent clip, but they hit 4-of-8 from beyond the arc and limited Arizona State to nine field goals in the frame.
The Sun Devils were able to pull even in the second half by improving to 48.1 percent shooting. In fact, they led 64-62 late in the game, but Nelson hit a layup with 20 seconds remaining that forced overtime.
After Brandt hit a 3-pointer to give Oregon State a 67-64 lead early in the extra sessions, the Sun Devils ripped off a 19-7 run, which put them ahead for good.
Arizona State outscored Oregon State by a count of 19-5 in points off turnovers.
