Greek Glendi: St. Barbara Greek Orthodox Church, 7671 N. Lockwood Ridge Road, East Manatee

The 30th annual festival Greek Glendi is 11 a.m.-9 p.m. Feb. 7-8 and noon-8 p.m. Feb. 9. Among the attractions are lots of Greek food (you can count on gyros, souvlaki, moussaka, baklava and some more obscure Greek delights), a market with jewelry and craft items, Greek folk dancing from the church's Hellenic Dancers, kids activities and church tours. Florida State Fair: Florida State Fairgrounds, 4800 U.S. 301 N., Tampa

The 2014 Florida State Fair runs through Feb. 17 featuring unique exhibits such as a technology showcase, Florida Cattlemen's Ranching Museum, Florida's Learning Garden, and Florida agriculture, outdoor music series and performances by local, regional, national and international artists at various stages around the venue, NOCKAIR FMX Flying Motorcycle Extreme Show and multiple exiting rides, animal exhibits and shows, live stock events and much more. First Fridays Car & Bike Show: Slick's Garage, 923 Fifth St. W., Palmetto

Music on Main: Main Street, Lakewood Ranch

Main Street at Lakewood Ranch will host a Music on Main concert 6-9 p.m. Feb. 7 featuring live music by Wild Ginger. Beer, wine and food sales benefit the Lakewood Ranch Kiwanis. Manatee Technical Institute Automotive Service Technology and Auto Collision and Repair students and faculty will team up with local businesses to host the second annual car show 11 a.m.-3 p.m. Feb. 9. Cars, trucks and motorcycles of all years, makes, and models will be on display and will compete for best antique, classic, paint job, engine, stereo system, and muddiest truck awards. The Bradentucky Bombers, Manatee County's original flat track women's roller derby team 2014 season schedule is as follows: Feb. 9, March 2, April 13, May 18, June 8, July 13, July 27, Aug. 3, Sept. 14, Oct. 12, with game itineraries: 6 p.m. tailgating, 6:30 p.m. doors open, 7 p.m. game begins, 9:15 p.m. afterparty at Lost Kangaroo Pub, 406 12th St. W., Bradenton.
