Boys & Girls Clubs' to have Digital Art and Photography Exhibit Saturday

BRADENTON -- Are you a fan of digital art?

Then you'll be interested in a Digital Art and Photography exhibit created by members of the Boys & Girls Clubs of Manatee County to be shown 11 a.m.-1 p.m. Saturday at the Manatee Performing Arts Center, 502 Third Ave. W., Bradenton.

The creative projects in

the digital arts exhibition will be judged by community members for entry into Digital Arts Festivals and ImageMakers, two national creative competitions of the Boys & Girls Clubs of America.

"We're looking forward to our first Digital Arts Exhibition," said Jennifer Radebach, club director of program services. "We appreciate the Manatee Performing Arts Center for providing us with a great location for the community to come out and support the creativity of our kids."

Club members can submit projects under several creative categories, including digital photography, music making, stop-motion animation and film.

Categories contain various subjects that must be illustrated such as physical surroundings, diversity and inclusion, facing adversity, and acceptance and tolerance.

Judges are:

• Dawn Allen, NDC Construction.

• Manny Cruz, Cruz Photography.

• Robin DiSabatino, Manatee County commissioner.

• Lemoyne Johnson, Johnson Photo Imaging.

• Maggie Scherette of Ad-VANCE Talent Solutions.

• Marlene Woodson, community philanthropist.

Admission to digital arts exhibition is free.
