Homeless cats should not be returned to wild

February 5, 2014

Let me go on record that I love apple pie, kids, puppies and old people. With all the pressing problems facing Manatee County, why do some choose to make the fact that allowing stray cats to roam free is OK and should be allowed?

Spend a lot of effort and money to neuter and tag them and what do you have? The same problem. Catch any stray animal hold for 30 days, then yes, if someone does not want the stray animal, it must be destroyed.

This is not cruel treatment; it is just how things are and the facts.

Will this happen in Manatee County? No, because so many do nothing about real problems; they need something like this to make them seem like good folks.
