Foggy Manatee County streak to reach 5 nights

HERALD STAFF REPORTFebruary 5, 2014

MANATEE -- The National Weather Service and the Florida Highway Patrol agree: Both issued dense fog advisories Tuesday night and are expected to do so again for a fifth consecutive evening Wednesday.

Warm daytime temps make for areas of dense fog, according to the National Weather Service, which forecast Wednesday to have a 40 percent chance of showers and areas of dense fog before 4 p.m. Otherwise, mostly cloudy, with a high near 76. Winds could gust as high as 18 mph.

On Thursday there is 40 percent chance of showers, mostly cloudy, with a high near 71.

But no fog is in the forecast.
