Recap: Clemson vs. Georgia Tech

Clemson, SC (SportsNetwork.com) - Led by 12 points from Jordan Roper, the Clemson Tigers downed the Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets, 45-41, in an Atlantic Coast Conference matchup at Littlejohn Coliseum.

For the Tigers (15-6, 6-3 ACC), K.J. McDaniels added eight points with six rebounds, and Jaron Blossomgame pulled down nine rebounds.

Daniel Miller led all scorers with 18 points for the Yellow Jackets (12-11, 3-7), adding eight rebounds to his stat total.

Both teams struggled to open the contest, with each shooting just 36 percent from the field in the first half. Clemson held a 25-22 advantage at the break due to a 5-2 scoring advantage at the free-throw line.

After the break, the teams continued to have trouble finding the basket. The Tigers shot 27.3 percent from the field and missed all four of their tries from 3-point range. The Yellow Jackets were a little better, making 33.3 percent of their shots but missed all three of their 3-point tries. Clemson again held a slight advantage at the charity stripe, 8-5. and was able to hold on for the win - the program's 500th victory at Littlejohn Coliseum.

Clemson outscored Georgia Tech in the paint, 18-16, and had the advantage in bench points, 16-2. The Tigers won the game from the free-throw line, outscoring the Yellow Jackets 13-7 from the charity stripe.
