Manatee woman rams vehicle into boyfriend's truck

MANATEE — A 22-year-old Manatee County woman was charged with domestic battery and criminal mischief Tuesday after intentionally causing an accident, according to the Manatee County Sheriff’s Office.

Amber Nichole Ingram reportedly told a deputy she rammed the Toyota Highlander into the rear passenger side of her boyfriend’s Ford F250 pickup truck causing more than $1,000 damage.

The boyfriend reportedly told deputies Ingram, his girlfriend of nine months, also bit, punched and slapped him. The two-vehicle crash occurred at 5224 21st St. Ct. W. at 8:40 p.m. Sunday.

Ingram posted a $1,000 bond and was released from the Manatee County jail Monday, according to the sheriff’s office website.
