Bradenton police: Man handcuffs woman to light pole after she pointed gun at him

February 4, 2014

BRADENTON -- Bradenton police are investigating after a woman was found handcuffed to a light pole in front of an apartment complex early Tuesday.

About 6:14 a.m. officers responded to the City Walk Apartments, 2017 Fifth St. W., and found the woman.

"The male victim stated the female came to his apartment and pointed a gun at him," police said in a report. "The male victim was able to get the gun away from the female and wrestled her to the front of the apartment building. The male victim then handcuffed the female suspect to a light pole."

Police said the woman was wearing a dark jacket, gloves and a mask, and she had her face covered in black paint. She also had been carrying a .45-caliber handgun and handcuffs, police said.

Police said the woman was arrested, but her name was not immediately available.
