Sheriff: Bradenton bank robbery caught on camera

SunTrust branch bank on 14th Street West robbed of undisclosed amount

MANATEE -- The Manatee County Sheriff's Office reports a security camera captured a clear view of a man who robbed a Bradenton bank about 9:44 a.m. Monday morning.

The suspect reportedly walked into the SunTrust Bank branch, 5714 14th St. W., and handed a note to a teller. A weapon was implied but not seen, according to a news release from the sheriff's office.

The suspect got away with an undisclosed amount of cash, according to the sheriff's office.

There were no reports of injuries.

Just after noon, the sheriff's office released a photo of the suspect taken by a security camera at the bank.

The suspect was described as a black man in his 30s, standing 5-foot-10 to 6-2. He was last seen wearing a long-sleeve striped polo shirt, jeans and a Tampa Bay Rays ball cap.
