Greenville, SC (SportsNetwork.com) - Isaiah Williams scored 17 points to lead the Samford Bulldogs to a 76-68 victory over the Furman Paladins in a Southern Conference brawl at Timmons Arena.
Tim Williams finished with 16 points and 10 rebounds for Samford (10-14, 4-5 SoCon), which has won three of its last four. Raijon Kelly tacked on 19 points off the bench and Tyler Hood contributed 12 points.
Stephen Croone tallied a game-high 26 points for Furman (7-15, 1-8), which has lost eight of its last nine. Larry Wideman chipped in 16 and Charlie Reddick chimed in with 10.
It was Furman that led, 41-38, at halftime after shooting 40.7 percent from the floor, while limiting Samford to 32.3 percent in the first half.
Kelly scored 13 points in the second half, as the Bulldogs sank 60 percent of their shots from the floor, including 6-of-9 from 3-point range, to pull ahead and away for the win.
Monday's game was originally slated to take place last Thursday, but inclement weather played a part in postponing the meeting.
