New York, NY (SportsNetwork.com) - Minnesota Wild forward Zach Parise, Toronto Maple Leafs forward Phil Kessel and Calgary Flames forward Mikael Backlund have been named the NHL's 'Three Stars' for the period ending Feb. 2.

Parise had five assists among his league-best eight points last week. The First Star picked up half of his points (2g, 2a) in a 5-4 loss to Colorado on Thursday, a day before he was named captain of the United States Olympic team.

Kessel earned the Second Star after registering his fifth career hat trick and collecting four assists for a seven-point week.

The Third Star went to Backlund, who posted multiple points in each of his three games. He finished with four goals and two assists.
