Urology Partners will offer health screenings for men in an unconventional way 9 a.m.-2 p.m. Feb. 1 featuring vendors with interactive and fun activities including batting cages, race simulators, real Harley Davidsons on a simulation trailer, video games, cars, trucks, boats, poker tournaments and a virtual reality gun range and more. Each vendor will be paired with a local medical doctor or practice offering men the simple health screenings they should get done, including eye exams, hearing tests, glucose checks, skin cancer screenings, blood pressure. BMI etc. The Tampa Bay Lightning 2004 Stanley Cup championship team will be available for autographs during breakout sessions. Admission is free. Information:

National Skating Month Celebration: Ellenton Ice and Sports Complex, 5309 29th St. E., Ellenton

The Ellenton Ice and Sports Complex will celebrate National Skating Month with a free special event 3:30-5:30 p.m. Feb. 1 starting off with exhibition skating featuring their skaters and invite the public to try out hockey and figure skating with instruction from the coaching staff. "Doughnut Dolly" Program: Palmetto Historical Park and Agricultural Museum, Carnegie Library Basement, 515 10th Ave. W., Palmetto

The Palmetto Historical Park and Manatee County Agricultural Museum will host a "Doughnut Dolly" program as part of the Legacy of Valor Campaign 11 a.m. Feb. 1. The program, honoring the service and sacrifice of veterans and their families, will feature Rene Johnson and Susan McLean presenting a program about their service as "Doughnut Dollies" during the Vietnam War. Annual Gamble Plantation Festival: Gamble Plantation, 3708 Patten Ave., Ellenton

Gamble Plantation Historic State Park, in conjunction with The Gamble Plantation Preservation Alliance, will host the 14th annual Plantation Festival 10 a.m.-4 p.m. Feb. 1-2. Visitors will enjoy an arts and crafts show, a school art competition, free tours of the Gamble Mansion and the Patten House. Food and beverages will be available for purchase. Florida Railroad Museum "Hole in the Head" Train Robbery: 12210 83rd St. E., Parrish

2014 Tropic Isles Annual Arts and Crafts Festival: Tropic Isles Auditorium, 1507 28th Ave. W., Palmetto

Tropic Isles Mobile Home Park will host its annual Arts and Crafts Festival 1-4 p.m. Feb. 2. The festival will feature fine arts and craft by a variety of artists and media including acrylics, abstract, aprons, art cars, baby gift items, baskets, beach art, book marks, carved wood, collages, deco eggs, fish art, eyeglass holders, glass and deco yard art, sun hats, handbags, lamps, jams and preserves, metal, silver and glass jewelry, towels, pot holders, mixed media, oil pastels, live plants, quilts and much more.
