Weather alert: Warmer temperatures, more rain expected Friday in Bradenton

MANATEE -- Friday will be warmer, but sunshine may continue to elude the Bradenton area, according to the National Weather Service.

Forecasters are calling for mostly cloudy skies, with a high near 73 and east-northeasterly winds of about 7 mph. The chance of rain is 50 percent.

Friday night, the chance of rain drops to 20 percent before 1 a.m. Areas of fog are possible after 1 a.m. The expected low is about 61.

Sunshine and high temperatures approaching 80 are expected for Saturday and Sunday.
