Bradenton Beach woman's purse snatched in Pride Park neighborhood

MANATEE -- A Bradenton Beach woman's purse was snatched as she was walking down a street in a Pride Park neighborhood in Bradenton, according to the Manatee County Sheriff's Office.

The victim was walking down the street in the 600 block 66th Avenue West at about 11:30 a.m. Thursday when a man grabbed her wallet from her hand, according to a news release.

The wallet reportedly had cash and the victim's identification.

The suspect was reported to be a male about 6 feet, 1 inch tall with short hair. He was seen wearing a white T-shirt and blue jeans. The victim last saw the suspect running east on 66th Avenue West and then crossing Fifth Street West, the sheriff's office said.
