No one hurt in school bus crash in East Manatee

EAST MANATEE -- No one was injured Thursday when a the driver of Jeep ran into the back of a school bus in East Manatee, according to Florida Highway Patrol.

The crash happened about 7:10 a.m. on State Road 70 East at Natalie Way.

The 18-year-old driver of the Jeep was slowing for traffic on eastbound State Road 70 when his brakes failed and he ran into the rear of a bus stopped in front of him at Natalie Way, according to a report.

Neither the bus driver nor any of the five passengers on the bus were injured.

No charges will be filed in the crash, FHP said.
