Rainy Thursday to give way to gorgeous weekend in Bradenton

MANATEE -- Rain dominates the forecast for Manatee County on Thursday before turning into a superlative Super Bowl weekend.

The National Weather Services forecast guarantees up to a half-inch precipitation overnight Wednesday and into Thursday morning with an overnight low of 47 and a northeast wind gusting as high as 23 mph.

The National Weather Service lists the chances of a half-inch precipitation Thursday at 100 percent. Temps will reach a high near 58 with gusts as high as 21 mph and overnight low near 50 degrees.

Friday, the 30 percent chance of rain before 8 a.m. evaporates into a partly sunny day with a high near 73. Friday night will be partly cloudy with a low around 60.

Saturday will be mostly sunny with a high near 76 and a 20 percent chance of showers after 2 p.m.

Super Bowl Sunday will be mostly sunny with a high near 77.
