Intersection of I-75, University needs fix now

January 30, 2014

The Interstate 75-University Parkway interchange is a predictable quagmire.

It does not take a team of think-tank engineers to conclude that the mile marker 213 exit/entrance on I-75 is going to be one big log jam in the near future.

If something is not done now to ameliorate this predictable traffic problem by the time construction of the largest shopping mall in Southwest Florida is completed at that corner, people will avoid shopping there like the plague.

The end result will be the negative impact on the sales at this mall, which may very well spell the undoing of this gigantic project as well as the other adjacent shopping centers.

Please take action on this problem now so I won't be tempted to have to say, "I told you so" later.
