Wintry weather in South affecting flights at SRQ, Tampa

A winter storm in the southern United States is affecting air travel at airports in Bradenton-Sarasota and Tampa.

As of just after 11:20.., Delta Airlines flights from Atlanta -- which was hit hard by the storm -- scheduled to land at Sarasota Bradenton International Airport at 10:37 a.m. and 1:05 p.m. were listed as cancelled.

Also cancelled was a Delta departure to Atlanta. Another Atlanta departure was listed as delayed.

SRQ flights to and/or from Boston, New York, Washington, D.C., and Charlotte, N.C., were also listed as delayed.

Other flights at SRQ were listed as on time.

Several flight cancellations were also listed at Tampa International Airport, including flights to and/or from Atlanta, Raleigh-Durnham, N.C., New Orleans, Birmingham, Ala., and Nashville, Tenn.
