Weather alert: Rain, cooler temperatures coming to Bradenton on Wednesday

MANATEE -- Enjoy the warm, sunny weather Tuesday afternoon because come Wednesday, it will be a memory.

The National Weather Service is forecasting that the mids-70 of Tuesday afternoon will give way to much cooler temperatures, as well as rain and strong northerly winds as a cold front hits Bradenton and the rest of Tampa Bay.

Tuesday night, forecasters are calling for a 30 percent chance of rain and a low of 55.

After midnight, southwesterly winds of 5 to 10 mph will become northerly.

For Wednesday, the Weather Service is calling for a high near 60, with north-northeasterly winds of 14 to 16 mph, with gusts as high as 23 mph. The chance of rain is 70 percent.

Wednesday night, the forcast calls for a low around 46 and a 60 percent chance of continued rain. Winds will be from the north-northeast at 11 to 17 mph, with gusts as high as 24 mph.
