BRADENTON — A 51-year-old Bradenton man was arrested Sunday and charged with kidnapping, sexual battery and armed burglary among other charges.

Andrew Evans unlawfully went to a woman's home on 11th Avenue Circle East at 7:30 p.m. Saturday, according to a Bradenton Police Department report. Evans reportedly violated terms of his probation and an injunction order by doing so.

Armed with a gun, Evans kicked the front door in and reportedly committed armed burglary. He reportedly pointed the gun at the female victim, committing aggravated assault with a firearm.

Evans ordered the woman to drive around against her will, committing kidnapping, according to the report. Evans drove the woman back home and left.

But the next morning Evans returned and ordered the victim at gunpoint back into her home as she was heading to work, reportedly committing a second armed burglary. Evans then reportedly demanded sex and committed sexual battery.

Evans was in the Manatee County jail Monday on $40,000 bond, according to the sheriff’s office’s jail website
