Stars' Lehtonen leads NHL's 'Three Stars'

New York, NY (SportsNetwork.com) - Dallas Stars goaltender Kari Lehtonen was recognized Monday as the NHL's top performer for the week ending Jan. 26.

Lehtonen went 3-1-0 with a 1.25 goals-against average, .944 save percentage and two shutouts to earn the First Star. He now has 25 shutouts in his NHL career, 11 of which have come in a Dallas uniform.

Detroit Red Wings forward Gustav Nyquist was named the Second Star after recording four goals and two assists. He scored in all four games to help the Red Wings pick up five out of a possible eight points.

Carolina Hurricanes defenseman Andrej Sekera had one goal and five assists to claim the Third Star.
