Palmetto woman robbed in home invasion by 2 men

PALMETTO — The Manatee County Sheriff’s Office reported two males committed an armed home invasion at 9:46 p.m. Saturday in the 2600 block of Eighth Avenue East in Palmetto.

A 33-year-old women told deputies the two suspects kicked open the front door and brandished black handguns. They reportedly told the victim to turn around and she would not be harmed.

Several items taken include jewelry, a purse and electronics.

The two subjects fled from the residence and have not been found. Both suspects were described as skinny, wearing black pants and shirt with half-mask. One had dreadlocks.

No injuries were reported.
