Fayetteville, AR (SportsNetwork.com) - Rashad Madden notched a game-high 24 points as the Arkansas Razorbacks knocked off the Auburn Tigers 86-67 in SEC action at Bud Walton Arena.
Bobby Portis netted 18 points for the Razorbacks (13-6, 2-4 SEC), who returned to winning form after dropping back-to-back games. Fred Gulley added 10 points.
Chris Denson scored 18 points to lead the Tigers (8-9, 0-6), who have dropped six straight. KT Harrell and Tahj Shamsid-Deen followed with 17 and 12 points, respectively.
The Tigers got off to a rough start, shooting just 25.9 percent from the field in the first half, which included missing all seven attempts from 3-point range. At the other end, a 31.4 percent mark for the Razorbacks put them up 36-25 at the half.
In the second half, a 45.2 field goal percentage by the Tigers was no match for the Razorbacks' confident 65.4 percent.
Arkansas outscored its opponent 38-26 in the point and 18-4 on fast-break points in the one-sided victory.
