Jim Marsh Memorial Garden Dedication: Longboat Island Chapel gardens, 6200 Gulf of Mexico Drive, Longboat Key, 1:30 p.m. Saturday. The Rev. Marsh, pastor of the Longboat Island Chapel for 25 years, died May 18, 2008. Dedication service conducted by the Rev. Turning Point Tour: Temple Beth El Bradenton members, 5:30 p.m. Saturday, touring Turning Point, a one-stop shop for the homeless to eat, shower, have their clothes cleaned or pick up new ones, get haircuts, look for jobs and see a volunteer doctor or dentist. Turning Point as is mitzvah project. We collect toiletries and clothes year round for the more than 200 personal hygiene kits they need a day.
