5 unlocked cars ransacked in Parrish

MANATEE — Five unlocked cars were ransacked in Parrish late Saturday and early Sunday, according to a Manatee County Sheriff’s Office report.

The auto thefts reportedly occurred in the 12400 block of East 23rd Street, the 12900 block of East 21st Street, the 12900 block of East 21st Street and the 12500 block of East 24th Street.

Some vehicles were ransacked but nothing taken and the owner of a Chevy Silverado reportedly found the purse of the owner of a Jeep Wrangler in his truck.

The suspects reportedly took electronics, a purse, wallet and jewelry.
