The Source church vandalism in Bradenton caused by BB, paint guns

January 19, 2014

BRADENTON — Officers with the Bradenton Police Department reportedly have a suspect in a case involving BB and paint guns used to damage about six lights in the parking lot of The Source church.

The damage at the church, 5412 State Road 64 East, was reported about noon Sunday, according to police. Residents told officers the suspect may be a 14-year-old who lives in the nearby Eden Pointe Apartments, the report states.

Officers visited the aunt of the 14-year-old and she approved a search of the apartment, which reportedly revealed several BB guns, paint guns and accessories, which matched the damage to the church, according to the report.

Officers will reportedly follow up and interview the 14-year-old.
