Spartanburg, SC (SportsNetwork.com) - Z. Mason logged a double-double with 12 points and 15 rebounds as the Chattanooga Mocs cruised past the Wofford Terriers 71-57 in Southern Conference play at Benjamin Johnson Arena.
Mason also recorded five blocks for the Mocs (12-8, 6-0 SoCon), who won their eighth straight game. Ronrico White contributed 16 points. Greg Pryor, Martynas Bareika and Gee McGhee all scored 10 points.
Lee Skinner recorded a double-double with 11 points and 10 rebounds for the Terriers (7-10, 2-3), who have lost three of their last four. Karl Cochran notched a game-high 19 points and Spencer Collins added 10 points.
The Terriers struggled to get their offense going in the opening half, when they shot 33.3 percent from the field. At the other end, the Mocs shot 48 percent from the floor and hit 9-of-9 at the free-throw line to go up 36-28 at halftime.
Neither team's offense was particularly strong during the second half, with the Mocs falling to 37.5 percent on field goal tries, but it was enough to hold off the Terriers, who were at just 34.5 percent.
The Mocs outscored their opponent 16-6 on points off turnovers and 23-6 on bench points.
