Weather alert: Another cold front aims for Bradenton

January 17, 2014

MANATEE -- If you go to the Manatee County Fair this weekend, don't forget your jacket. You might even want to wear a heavy winter coat, as temperatures are forecast to be chilly, especially at night.

Frost Friday morning will give way to sunshine and a high of 62 in Bradenton.

But another cold front is forecast to move through the region Friday night and early Saturday.

"A few showers may accompany the front, then a reinforcing surge of cold dry air will follow in its wake on a blustery northwest to northerlky wind flow which may support some low wind chills across the region early Saturday morning," the Weather Service said.

A low of 46 is forecast for Friday night.

Saturday's high is expected to reach 58, with strong northerly winds making it feel blustery. Skies are expected to be sunny.

Saturday night's forecast low is 42.

Sunday should be warmer, with an expected high of 69 and with sunny skies.
