Recap: Air Force vs. San Jose St

USAFA, CO (SportsNetwork.com) - Tre' Coggins poured in a game-high 27 points as the Air Force Falcons routed the San Jose State Spartans 77-62 in a Mountain West Conference duel at Clune Arena.

Marek Olesinski finished with 19 points for Air Force (9-7, 3-2 MWC), which ended a two-game slide. Kamryn Williams chipped in 11 points.

Rashad Muhammad scored 12 points off the bench for San Jose State (6-11, 0-5), but on just 3-of-12 shooting. Jaleel Williams and Chris Cunningham each added 11 points for the Spartans, who have lost six straight.

Both teams had 12 field goals in the first half, including identical 5-of-14 efforts from beyond the arc. The Spartans managed to stake themselves to a 35-33 lead at intermission by holding a 6-4 edge at the free-throw line.

The Falcons improved to 61.9 percent shooting, including a 7-of-12 showing from beyond the arc, in the second half to blow by San Jose State, which hit just 40 percent from the floor in the frame.

Air Force had a 34-21 advantage in rebounds. San Jose State had a 28-20 edge on points in the paint.
