Gallery | Manatee County Fair contestants cross their fingers

pvidela@bradenton.comJanuary 13, 2014

This past weekend, Manatee County Fair blue ribbon and best-of-show hopefuls of all ages were busy dropping off their artworks, crafts and recipes for judging and display at the fairgrounds in Palmetto. These creative works represent a diverse cross section of Manatee County, and submitters have been hard at work in the months leading up to the fair. Some entrants even take things to the next step, like many of the Manatee-based members of the Sarasota Gulf Coast Chapter of the American Sewing Guild. They'll be on hand every day to share a little of their skill, knowledge and enthusiasm with hands-on sewing demonstrations for young and old. So after enjoying the sights, sounds and tastes of the midway, don't forget to stop by the arts and crafts building and see some of the best handiwork Manatee County has to offer. See you at the fair!
