Manatee Avenue crash slows traffic in Bradenton

— Drivers on Manatee Avenue West were facing slight delays Saturday afternoon after a driver apparently crossed over the center lane and crashed into two other vehicles.

A Chevy Malibu heading eastbound in the 2900 block of Manatee Avenue West sideswiped a Hyundai Santa Fe, then crashed head-on into a Hyundai Accent.

No serious injuries were reported.

The accident happened just before 1 p.m. No lanes are blocked but traffic has slowed as fire rescue personnel and a tow truck are working to clear the scene.

The driver of the Chevy was facing a citation, according to Bradenton Police who responded to the scene.
