MANATEE -- A man was robbed at gunpoint during an armed home invasion in Bradenton late Thursday, according to the Manatee County Sheriff's Office.

About 11:30 p.m., the gunman entered a trailer at the Wayside Glen Mobile Home Park, 5110 14th St W., grabbed the victim's female acquaintance, pointed a gun at the victim and demanded money, according to a news release.

The victim handed over his handbag to the robber, the sheriff's office said.

The suspect then fled the scene with the woman, according to the sheriff's office.

Deputies later located the woman at her residence.

"She acted like nothing happened," the sheriff's office said.

The woman, Patrice Carey, was arrested on a charge of failing to register as a convicted felon.

Deputies are still searching for the suspect, who was described as wearing a hoodie and latex gloves.
