Recap: Portland State vs. Montana State

Portland, OR (SportsNetwork.com) - Antonio Biglow came off the bench to score 15 points, as the Montana State Bobcats held off the Portland State Vikings, 79-76, in a Big Sky Conference bout at the Stott Center.

Paul Egwuonwu tallied 13 points and eight rebounds for Montana State (8-6, 3-0 Big Sky), which has won three in a row. Flavien Davis scored 11 points and Michael Dison added 10 points and six assists for the visitors.

DaShaun Wiggins led all scorers with 20 points for Portland State (5-7, 0-3), which has dropped three straight. Marcus Hall poured in 19 points on 5-of-7 from 3-point range, Tim Douglas registered 14 points and six assists and Kyle Richardson netted 10 points.

Montana State shot a lofty 58.3 percent from the field in the first half, while Portland State was a much more modest 45.2 percent. The Bobcats attempted seven fewer field goals in the opening stanza and only led by two, 37-35, heading into halftime.

The Vikings led by two midway through the second half, but the Bobcats surged ahead with an 8-0 run and led throughout the rest of the game, although they nearly coughed it up by shooting just 3-of-6 at the foul line in the final nine seconds.

Montana State outscored Portland State at the charity stripe, 17-8.
