FHP looking for hit-and-run semi-truck that hit gas pump in Ellenton

MANATEE -- Florida Highway Patrol is seeking information about a hit-and-run crash at an Ellenton gas station late Monday.

About 10:56 p.m., a vehicle described as a semi-truck with a trailer collided with a gas pump and posts a the Circle K station at 2944 20th St. E., Ellenton. The driver then left the scene, according to a news release.

The truck's cab was described as being red with six axles. The trailer was a flat bed with an unidentified cargo and two rear axles.

Anyone with information about the driver or the vehicle or who witnessed the crash can call FHP at 239-938-1800.
