MANATEE -- Incumbent Manatee County Commissioner Robin DiSabatino on Monday filed for re-election.

DiSabatino, a Republican, filed to run again in commission District 4, which covers portions of southern and eastern Manatee, according to documents posted at the Manatee County Supervisor of Elections website.

DiSabatino has one opponent so far, Timothy S. Norwood, also a Republican.

So far, Norwood has raised $11,475 in monetary contributions and $997 in in-kind contributions, according to the elections website.

DiSabatino was first elected to the county commission in 2010. Norwood was one of her opponents in that race.

The GOP primary is Aug. 26, and the general election is Nov. 4.
