The Lakewood Ranch Business Alliance will introduce its 2014 board of directors at its annual January membership luncheon, 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. Jan. 15 at the Polo Grill & Bar and Fete Ballroom in Lakewood Ranch.

The alliance's board of directors:

Intercoastal Medical Group has added gastroenterologist Ramon E. Colina and pulmonologist Richard Aranibar to its staff. Colina received his medical degree from the University of Puerto Rico, San Juan, and his fellowship training at Walter Reed Army Medical Center in Washington, D.C. He will work out of Intercoastal's office at 3333 Cattlemen Road, Suite 202, Sarasota. Aranibar has more than 22 years of experience working in the Bradenton area and is now seeing patients at Intercoastal's new Lakewood Ranch Medical Building, 11505 Rangeland Parkway.

Lakewood Ranch-based architect Laura Adcock, AIA, has been promoted to senior associate and shareholder at WBRC Architects-Engineers.

Adcock joined WBRC in 2005 after achieving a bachelor's of architecture degree from Mississippi State University. She became licensed as an architect in 2009, and was selected as Associate in 2011. She has the distinction of being the firm's second female shareholder in its history. (WBRC's first was Gertrud Ebbeson, who retired from WBRC 35 years ago.) Adcock serves in the Lakewood Ranch office and is actively involved in the community, serving as a volunteer for the Miracle League of Manasota and a a member of Rotary Club of Lakewood Ranch.

Dr. Harris Silverman, founding partner of The Eye Associates, which has offices in Bradenton, Ellenton and Sarasota, has once again been selected as one of "The Best Doctors in America" for 2014.

The Best Doctors in America list is widely respected by medical professionals and patients alike as a definitive source of the nation's most outstanding specialists. Physicians are selected by their peers as the result of a nationwide survey.

It is the 20th consecutive year Silverman has made the list.
