AMI Tour of Homes prepares for 21st year

ANNA MARIA -- The 21st annual Anna Maria Island Tour of Homes will soon offer its rare glimpse into island living complete with distinctive architecture, elegant interiors and stunning waterfront views.

Sandee Pruett of the Anna Maria Island Community Center said the Anna Maria Island Tour of Homes will be open to the public from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday, March 15.

The Tour of Homes annually draw thousands of people to the island from as far away as Lakeland, to Tampa, to Sarasota and Venice, Pruett said in a press release.

Acclaimed each year by professional decorators and past attendees, the tour will include select island properties on Holmes Beach, which reflect various styles of island living and provide participants with interior decorating and entertainment inspiration.

"The boutique offers original arts and crafts, culinary delights, as well as a beautiful handmade quilt created by the Eyeland Needlers," Pruett said.

All proceeds benefit the Anna Maria Island Community Center, which services more 5,000 children, families and seniors.

Tickets are $20.

Tour sponsors include Beach to Bay Construction, Green Real Estate and Duncan Real Estate.
